Seasonal Boat Inspection Positions

Help protect Montana’s waters from Aquatic Invasive Species.  Our 2026 season will be beginning shortly, with our training at the end of March. Training is mandatory, as it is part of our interview process. 

Our goal is to educate the boaters on the importance of Clean, Drain, Dry and how a quick, efficient inspection ensures the protection of our beautiful waters. Duties include, but are not limited to: self management, customer service and the ability to climb, bend, stoop, reach, and crawl around various watercrafts. The employee is also responsible for lifting signs and equipment when necessary. This is an outdoor job, so varying weather conditions are inevitable. 

Employees report to the Big Horn Conservation District in Hardin.
